Abu Dhabi, March 20, 2025 – Sunil Bahadur Thapa, the Chief Political Advisor to the Honorable President of Nepal, Ram Chandra Paudel, visited the Nepalese Embassy in Abu Dhabi today.
During the visit, Thapa held discussions with the Ambassador of Nepal to the UAE, focusing on the increasing number of Nepalese workers seeking employment opportunities in the UAE. The discussions revolved around the existing challenges faced by Nepalese migrant workers and potential solutions to address their concerns.
A key agenda of the meeting included the upcoming Nepal Festival in April and the May Day celebrations in the UAE. The parties also explored collaboration with Himalayan Bank Limited and Himal Remit to support these events.
Additionally, the discussions touched upon enhancing tourism, trade, and investment opportunities between Nepal and the UAE, further strengthening bilateral relations.
The meeting was attended by Ujwal Raj Rajbhandari, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Himalayan Bank Limited; Yauma Shrestha, Head of Himal Remit; and local representatives of Himalayan Bank in the UAE.
