Nepalese Sewa: Supporting the Financial Journey of Nepalese in the UAE

I recently had the opportunity to join Mr. Raju Dhungel, CEO of Banking Samachar, for a special conversation about Nepalese Sewa and the financial challenges faced by Nepalese living and working in the UAE.

During my more than two decades in the UAE, I have seen many hardworking Nepalese earn a good income but struggle to build long-term financial security. The problem is not always how much we earn. In many cases, it is the absence of proper information, planning, and reliable guidance.

This reality inspired us to develop Nepalese Sewa as a practical support platform for Nepalese living abroad.

In the interview, we discussed how Nepalese Sewa aims to help overseas Nepalese access essential services connected to Nepal, including documentation support, foreign employment procedures, financial awareness, social security, insurance, investment accounts, and skill development.

Many Nepalese abroad want to save, invest, participate in IPOs, open Demat and Mero Share accounts, or prepare for their eventual return to Nepal. However, complicated procedures and unreliable intermediaries often prevent them from taking the right steps.

Our purpose is to make these processes easier to understand and more accessible—not by making unrealistic promises, but by providing practical information and responsible support.

For me, Nepalese Sewa is more than a business. It is an effort to help Nepalese abroad convert years of hard work into greater financial stability and a better-prepared future.

I sincerely thank Banking Samachar and Mr. Raju Dhungel for providing this platform to introduce our vision and discuss an issue that affects thousands of Nepalese migrant workers.

If you are earning abroad, ask yourself an important question:

Are you only working for today, or are you also preparing for the day you return home?
