Nightmare of a Foreign Life a Poem by Roshan Ghalan

Lost in streets so far from home,
Voices buzz, but I’m alone.

Hands worn rough from endless days,
Dreams dissolve in city haze.

Coins I send, but none to keep,
Empty pockets, little sleep.

Memories call, I close my eyes,
See their smiles, hear their cries.

Morning comes, but night remains.
Foreign life, bound in chains.
