Dubai, April 20, 2025 — The vibrant spirit of Nepal echoed through the heart of Dubai as over 50,000 Nepalese gathered at Creek Park to celebrate Nepal Festival UAE 2025, marking it as one of the largest Nepali community events ever hosted in the Gulf region.
The event was graced by prominent dignitaries including Chief Guest Hon. Health Minister of Nepal Mr. Pradeep Paudel, and Special Guest His Excellency Mr. Tej Bahadur Chhetri, Nepal’s Ambassador to the UAE. The grand celebration was chaired by Mr. Bikash Shahi, President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), UAE Chapter.
From early morning until late evening, the festival showcased the richness of Nepali culture through music, dance, cuisine, and unity. The crowd was captivated by stellar performances from some of Nepal’s most celebrated artists.
Elina Chauhan, known for her melodic vocals, stole hearts with her live rendition of “Ke Ho Timro Naam”. Roj Moktan, Sandip Chhetri, Bam Bahadur Karki, Shanti Shree Pariyar, Arjun Sapkota, Asmita Ranpal, and the energetic Kavya Band delivered electrifying acts that had the audience cheering, dancing, and singing along.
A truly mesmerizing moment was the performance of Nepal’s world-renowned instrumental ensemble Sur Sudha, who filled the Dubai sky with the soothing and soulful rhythms of melodious Nepali Dhun. Their performance brought a spiritual calmness amidst the energetic festivities and reminded everyone of the depth and harmony in Nepali classical music.
Another major highlight of the day was the breathtaking presentation by Nepalese indigenous groups, proudly dressed in traditional ethnic wear, showcasing their heritage through folk dances and musical instruments like Dhol, Jhyamta, Madal, and more. Their powerful expressions of cultural identity brought together generations of attendees in awe and admiration.
The festival also featured traditional food stalls, cultural exhibitions, and community service booths, offering a full-circle Nepali experience to attendees of all ages.
Nepal Festival UAE 2025 not only celebrated Nepali identity abroad but also strengthened Nepal–UAE cultural ties, promoted tourism, and brought together the diverse Nepali diaspora under one vibrant celebration of heritage and pride.
