INAS UAE Marks Fifth Anniversary in Dubai, Elects New Leadership

Dubai, 20 December 2025 — The International Nepali Artists Society (INAS) UAE chapter successfully celebrated its fifth anniversary in Dubai, reaffirming its continued commitment to promoting and preserving Nepali art and culture among the Nepali diaspora in the United Arab Emirates.

The anniversary program was held under the chief guestship of Manoj Gorkhali and brought together artists, cultural activists, and representatives from various Nepali community organizations. Since its establishment, INAS UAE—an affiliate of the globally active INAS network—has been playing a significant role in organizing cultural programs and providing a platform for Nepali artists living abroad.

The event was attended by prominent community leaders and representatives from various Nepali organizations based in the UAE. The chief guest of the program was Manoj Kumar Shrestha, Vice President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) International Coordination Council and former Global Advisor of INAS. The strong presence of community representatives reflected unity and collective support for Nepali art and culture in the UAE.

During the program, INAS UAE announced the formation of its new executive committee for the 2025–2027 term. The election committee confirmed that the new leadership team was selected in a cordial and consensus-based manner. Hari Moktan, who served as General Secretary in the previous term, has been entrusted with the responsibility of leading the organization as President for the upcoming tenure.

The program also featured a special farewell ceremony for outgoing former President MD Bohora, who is returning to Nepal after nearly 20 years of professional and community involvement in the UAE. Bohora, who currently serves as a member of the NRNA International Coordination Council, led INAS UAE for the past two terms. During his leadership, the organization successfully organized several major cultural events and represented Nepali culture at various high-profile programs across the UAE through cultural performances and delegations.

Addressing the gathering, chief guest Manoj Gorkhali praised INAS for its global efforts in safeguarding Nepali art and cultural heritage. He commended Nepali artists and community members for their active engagement in cultural promotion despite living abroad and encouraged INAS UAE to continue its work with greater strength and collaboration in the future.

It is noteworthy that Manoj Gorkhali is currently visiting the UAE in connection with preparations for the upcoming House of Representatives election in Nepal, following his recommendation as a candidate from Dhading Constituency No. 1.

The fifth anniversary celebration concluded with a message of cultural pride, unity, and a renewed commitment to strengthening Nepali art and cultural identity in the UAE.
