अबुधाबी, यूएई —अबुधाबीस्थित नेपाली राजदूतावासले श्रम, रोजगार तथा सामाजिक सुरक्षा मन्त्रालयको निर्देशनअनुसार श्रमिकहरूलाई Biometric आधारित श्रम स्वीकृति सेवा प्रदान गर्न नयाँ व्यवस्था सार्वजनिक गरेको छ।
अबुधाबीमा कार्यरत नेपाली श्रमिकहरूका लागि अब हरेक महिनाको पहिलो र तेस्रो शनिबार, बिहान १०:३० बजेदेखि दिउँसो १:३० बजेसम्म, श्रम स्वीकृति आवेदनको सेवा प्रदान गरिनेछ। यो सेवा विशेषगरी रोजगार भिसा सन् २०२४ सेप्टेम्बर ३० अगाडि जारी भइसकेको नेपाली श्रमिकहरूलाई लक्षित गरिएको छ।
राजदूतावासले यस प्रक्रियामा सहभागी हुन सर्वप्रथम अनलाइन प्रणालीमार्फत आवेदन दिनुपर्ने जानकारी दिएको छ।
सबै आवश्यक कागजातहरू अनिवार्य रूपमा स्पष्ट स्क्यान गरी पोर्टलमा अपलोड गर्नुपर्नेछ।
साथै, यदि कुनै कागजात अपूर्ण वा स्पष्ट नभएको पाइएमा वा थप कागजात आवश्यक परेमा, राजदूतावासले सो आवेदन अस्वीकृत (Reject) गर्नेछ र पुनः आवेदन दिन निर्देशन दिनेछ। साथै, श्रम स्वीकृतिका लागि व्यक्तिगत रूपमा उपस्थित भई Iris Scan र Fingerprint अनिवार्य रूपमा गराउनु पर्ने व्यवस्था गरिएको छ।

Labor Approval Service Begins for Nepali Workers in Abu Dhabi, Expansion Planned for Other Emirates
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates —
The Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi has officially launched a biometric-based labor approval service for Nepali nationals who are currently working in Abu Dhabi and whose employment visas were issued before September 30, 2024. This initiative aims to streamline the labor approval process for Nepali migrant workers in compliance with the latest government regulations of Nepal.
The service is available twice a month, specifically on the first and third Saturdays, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, at the Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi. The embassy urges all eligible workers to take advantage of this opportunity and follow the application guidelines carefully.
To apply, workers must use the official online portal of the Department of Foreign Employment (DOFE) and select “Nepali Embassy Abu Dhabi (Select)” while submitting their application. All required documents must be clearly scanned and uploaded to the system. The embassy has clearly stated that incomplete or unclear applications will be rejected, and applicants will be asked to resubmit with proper documentation.
The list of required documents includes a valid passport (with at least 6 months remaining), Emirates ID, life insurance certificate from Nepal, Social Security Fund deposit receipt, stamped employment contract, the company’s trade license, and an official appointment letter from the employer. In addition, all applicants must personally visit the embassy to complete biometric verification, which includes iris scanning and fingerprinting.
The Nepali community in Abu Dhabi has welcomed this development and expressed their gratitude to the embassy for making the labor approval process more accessible, transparent, and efficient. Many believe this is a long-overdue step toward safeguarding the rights and welfare of Nepali workers in the UAE.
Moreover, the Embassy of Nepal has announced that it is working on plans to gradually expand this service to other emirates including Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman, so that Nepali workers residing in other parts of the UAE will also benefit from the same streamlined service in the near future.
