This initiative is part of the “Adopt a School” campaign, supported by Ducab and Dubai Cares, aimed at providing access to education in underdeveloped regions. Ducab employees have taken the extraordinary step of removing their uniforms and actively joining hands with local workers and villagers, carrying construction materials themselves to help build the school.

Construction began in December 2024 and is expected to be completed by the end of April 2025. The school will accommodate up to Grade 8 and is designed to serve 200 students. It will feature modern furniture and proper sanitation facilities, with a special emphasis on improving access to education for young girls.

This effort falls under the Ducare Program in collaboration with Dubai Cares. In addition to building the school, Ducab has committed to launching a two-year adult literacy program to help elder members of the community learn to read and write.

Asma Al Falasi, Senior CSR Officer at Ducab and campaign lead, shared her emotional journey: “It was an eye-opening experience, as we discovered our inner strength to overcome the emotional and physical challenges along the way.”

Another volunteer, Shama Al Marzouqi, an Operational Excellence Engineer, emphasized, “A school is not just a building; it’s a foundation of dreams, opportunities, and the future.”

The school construction is part of the UAE’s “Year of Community” initiative, through which Ducab has also pledged to plant over 1,000 trees across various centers under the “Plant the Emirates” campaign and collaborate with Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing to construct 25 homes for people with special needs and the elderly.

This project stands as a testament to the power of unity, compassion, and cross-cultural collaboration in building a brighter future.
