Abu Dhabi, March 9, 2025 – The Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi has issued an urgent notice to all Nepali citizens residing and working in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), urging them to maintain discipline, follow workplace ethics, and respect the laws and regulations of the country.
अबुधाबीस्थित नेपाली राजदूतावासले यूएईमा कार्यरत तथा बसोबास गर्ने नेपालीहरूलाई कानून, नियम, र सामाजिक मर्यादाको पूर्ण पालना गर्न आग्रह गरेको छ। अत्यधिक मदिरा सेवन, आवासीय नियम उल्लङ्घन, तथा दुर्व्यवहारका कारण नेपालीहरू deport हुने घटना बढ्दै गएकाले सचेत रहन अनुरोध गरिएको छ। कुनै समस्या वा उजुरी परेमा सम्बन्धित निकायमार्फत उचित प्रक्रिया अपनाएर समाधान खोज्न सुझाव दिइएको छ। साथै, एमिरेट्स आईडी र आवश्यक कानूनी कागजात सधैं साथमा राख्नुपर्ने र यूएईका नियमअनुसार जीवनयापन गर्न राजदूतावासले सबै नेपालीलाई अनुरोध गरेको छ।
The notice strongly advises Nepali workers to exhibit professional behavior at their workplaces and maintain good conduct in public spaces. It emphasizes that Nepali expatriates should respect UAE labor laws, contractual obligations, and workplace etiquette.
The embassy has expressed concerns about increasing cases of deportation due to violations of UAE Residential Rules and excessive alcohol consumption. Nepali citizens are urged to avoid excessive drinking and ensure compliance with local laws to prevent legal consequences that could lead to deportation. The embassy highlighted that such deportations cause not only financial loss but also significant physical, mental, and familial distress for individuals.
Furthermore, the embassy has encouraged Nepali citizens to promptly report any grievances or workplace-related issues to the relevant authorities. It has assured full support in addressing legitimate concerns but has requested individuals to follow appropriate channels for filing complaints.
The notice also reminds all Nepalis in the UAE to fully abide by local laws, regulations, and social norms. It stresses the importance of carrying valid Emirates ID and legal documents at all times to avoid any legal complications.
